Jon Bon Jovi Talks Suicidal Woman Off Bridge in the Middle of Music Video Shoot
Jon Bon Jovi has a Nashville woman never saying goodbye after the famous New Jersey rock star talked the suicidal woman out of jumping off of a bridge. Imagine a scenario in which you’ve reached the end of your rope and given up all hope for a better future, and in your darkest hour, the dude who wrote “It’s My Life” swoops into save you like a silver stallion to tell you that your life is worth living. This might be the most bizarrely unlikely story of the day that’s also, at the same time, the most wholesome thing you’ll read this week.
According to Blabbermouth, the Bon Jovi frontman was in the middle of shooting a music video on Tuesday on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in Nashville, Tennessee when he spotted a woman hanging off the ledge. Bon Jovi, who has training in interactions with people in crisis thanks to his Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, approached the woman and talked her out of committing suicide.
The Metro Nashville Police Department tweeted a since-removed video of the incident with the caption:
“A shout out to [Jon Bon Jovi] & his team for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Ped Bridge Tue night. Bon Jovi helped persuade her to come off the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety. ‘It takes all of us to help keep each other safe,’–Chief John Drake”
After talking the woman out of her crisis situation, Bon Jovi was seen giving the woman a hug before the two of them walked off together.
