Rapper Danny Brown Added to Select Dates on Knocked Loose US Tour
I’m always happy to see hip-hop and rock artists working together, but this one seems like a bit of an unlikely pairing as Detroit rapper Danny Brown has been announced as a supporting act for hardcore band of the moment Knocked Loose for a handful of their tour dates. Knocked Loose tweeted on the site that everyone still calls Twitter on Monday a screenshot of DMs from Brown to the band which, presumably, inspired the unlikely live pairing. Brown apparently wrote to Knocked Loose saying:
“Loving the new album it’s fucking insane!! Thank you so much for inspiring me and can’t wait to see y’all live.”
The very next day, Knocked Loose tweeted an updated tour poster with Danny Brown now listed on five special dates from 10/24 through 11/02. Brown will join openers Drain and Militarie Gun on those dates, which will take place in Wheatland, CA; Santa Ana, CA; San Jose, CA; Chicago, IL; and Milwaukee, WI.
This is all part of Knocked Loose’s current US tour to support their album You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To that came out earlier this year. Brown, on the other hand, most recently put out his sixth album Quaranta in 2023. Check out Knocked Loose’s full list of current tour dates below:
