Motörhead to Release a Collection of Rare Singles, “Shut Your Mouth” Streaming Now
The mighty Motörhead may be done and dusted as a band following the passing of legendary frontman Lemmy Kilmister, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t songs you can still discover. Long before CDs and digital music killed the concept of the single, the badasses from Britain regularly pumped out A- and B-Sides that you’ve likely never heard. Next month, a collection of those singles will be released via BMG.
Available to everyone on October 25, the collection titled We Take No Prisoners will reintroduce fans of all ages to a number of singles and promos in either a nine 7″ vinyl box set, an expanded double CD, or digital version. From their cover of Sex Pistols’ “God Save The Queen” to their bluesy “Whorehouse Blues”, the collection has something for every Motörhead fan.
In addition to the studio recorded singles and alternate tracks, the collection will include rare live and radio edits, along with a special 2004 interview featuring Lemmy and Mikkey Dee.
