Horror Flick Piglet Will Turn Winnie the Pooh’s Best Friend Into a Depraved Killer and We’re Here for It

The weather’s getting colder, the nights are getting longer… soon enough it’ll be fall and with it comes all things spooky. And what’s better when the leaves start falling and nature starts shedding its dead weight than curling up on the couch and watching a bloody slasher film? Absolutely nothing, that’s what.

Just yesterday, the folks at ITN Movies dropped a trailer for their next entry in the whole “horror movies about English author A. A. Milne and English illustrator E. H. Shepard’s creation Winnie the Pooh” — only this time, the killer is none other than Piglet. Or rather a big ass, murderous version of Piglet.

Starring Lauren Staerck, Alina Desmond, Valery Danko, Shayli Reagan and Alexander Butler, Piglet is directed by Andrea M. Catinella, and written by Harry Boxley.

Here’s the official summary:

“On Kate’s 21st birthday camping trip, her friends encounter Piglet, a monstrous human-pig hybrid who brutally murders one of them. They uncover Piglet’s origins and Kate must confront her past to survive the relentless killer.”

Let’s run down what’s in the trailer. Buncha hot chicks heading into the woods for a 21st birthday party celebration? Check. Creepy old dude that seems to be in cahoots with the psycho killer? Check. Plenty of fucking out of wedlock that leads to a gruesome death? Check. Check. Check.

Now, let’s be clear about a couple things. Firstly, there’s no way this movie isn’t schlocky as all get out. I mean, look at it! The other thing that’s important to note is that even though this is the same team that started the “Poohniverse” earlier this year with Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. This is, however, another movie taking advantage of the fact that the Winnie the Pooh IP is now in the public domain, meaning we can do whatever we want with the rotund little yellow fuck.
