Entheos Release “A Thousand Days” Single
More new music from progressive death metal duo Entheos is here with today’s release of “A Thousand Days” off their forthcoming EP, An End to Everything. Set for release on October 25 via Metal Blade Records, the EP’s their first new slate of music since last year’s Time Will Take Us All.
The new song comes after having recently finished their tour supporting As I Lay Dying. Speaking of the track, vocalist Chaney Crabb said they were trying to chill things out in their death metal sound while still keeping the energy high.
“Lyrically, ‘A Thousand Days’ is a song about feeling as if you’re on the edge of life and death. In writing ‘A Thousand Days,’ we wanted to focus on a more ‘mellow’ death metal vibe and simultaneously incorporate some elements of grunge and pitched screaming in the chorus.”
With the EP’s release fast approaching, Crabb said the entire concept behind the release came from a major loss in her life.
“An End To Everything‘s title and lyrics are significant on a personal level and depict an era in my life that ended with the death of a close friend because of addiction. This person had thrived in life against many odds, but ultimately succumbed as a result of their own poor decisions. An End To Everything is about the nature of the darkness of life and the human experience.”
