Pinkish Black’s Daron Beck Has Passed Away
Some incredibly sad news broke in the last hour, as it was announced that Pinkish Black keyboardist and vocalist Daron Beck has passed away “from a medical illness.” News of his passing was made public earlier today via the Relapse Records official Instagram account, which posted the following memorial to the fallen talent.
“We at Relapse Records are saddened by the loss of Daron Beck of Pinkish Black and Zombi and Friends from a medical illness. Daron was a kind, tremendously funny, and gentle soul that made some of the most creative and compelling music ever released on Relapse Records. Our hearts go out to his partner Lisa, mom Debbie, bandmate Jon, and everyone else that was lucky enough to cross paths with him.”
Along with Jon Teague, Beck was one half of the experimental synth-doom duo responsible for five full-length albums starting with 2012’s self-titled release until 2020’s Vanishing Light in the Tunnel of Dreams. Beck was also a featured guest performer on Zombi’s 2022 classic rock covers album, Zombi & Friends, Volume 1.
We at MetalSucks want to offer our deepest condolences to Beck’s friends, family, and former bandmates during this incredibly difficult time.
