Overkill Adds Ex-Venom Inc. Drummer Jeramie Kling
Ever since he left Venom Inc. last November, people have wondered where drummer Jeramie Kling would end up. When Sepultura and Slipknot were both out there looking for someone to get behind the kit, Kling was rumored for the spots. He remained on everyone’s mind as one of metal’s drumming free agents.
Well, we now know exactly where he’s landed, as New Jersey thrash metal outfit Overkill announced that Kling would be taking the spot left vacant by Jason Bittner, who’d opted to focus on Shadows Fall and Category 7 instead.
“We’re gearing up for an epic European and North American tour this August through December and are excited to announce a special addition for the tours. Here comes a thunderous old friend, who had done work with us, as well as The Absence & Venom Inc. Please welcome, with drum sticks in hand, Jeramie Kling!”
Looking forward to his time with the band, Kling said he was “stoked” about his new place in Overkill.
“Words cannot express how stoked I am to share the stage with my good friends in Overkill. We will be laying waste to everyone throughout Europe and North America (with King Diamond). Check the dates online and come out to see an unforgettable night of Metal \m/”
