Vomit Forth Remain Shamelessly Heavy in New Single “Negative Penance”
God. Damn. The latest from Vomit Forth titled “Negative Penance” is ridiculously heavy and it’s only 140 seconds long. All they needed with this one was two minutes and 20 seconds to beat you over the head with this song, which will be featured on their forthcoming album Terrified of God.
Due out on October 11 through Century Media, the album’s got 12 tracks to offer. From what we heard with the previous single “Rotting Wool” and now this one, it’s apparent they’re not here to fuck around. Vomit Forth’s here to come for all of your jugulars and there’s not much you can do about it. Well, other than not listen to it, but like… why would you want to do that?!
Speaking of the track itself, vocalist Kane Gelaznik said “Negative Pennance” is all about how people these days have an “inability to hold ourselves accountable.”.
“We can’t wash the proverbial ‘blood’ off our hands no matter how hard we try. We are now in this current age so obsessed with ourselves, and that obsession is just validated because we can all be our own favorite celebrity, that we can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what makes us feel good. Do we want to fix our problems? Or do we want to keep them going so we can constantly broadcast how righteous we are in acknowledging them?”

In addition to the new song and album, Vomit Forth are also heading out on a North American tour with The Black Dahlia Murder, Dying Fetus, Spite, and Angelmaker.
