It’s Official: Kylesa’s Back and Already Has Some Shows Lined Up

Yesterday, we reported on the idea, the inkling that Kylesa was planning a return after a more than eight year hiatus. We based that on a post on their Facebook page and we’ll admit — there was a little bit of wishful thinking, too.

Well, it turns out that the proggy, psychedelic sludge metal band is indeed coming back. Earlier this morning it was revealed on the band’s social media pages that they were among the first few bands announced for next year’s iteration of Roadburn in the Netherlands.

“After ten years away we are excited to announce our return to performing live, starting at the 2025 edition of Roadburn. We will be playing a limited number of special shows next year celebrating 25 years as a band and it all starts in Tilburg, Netherlands. We have so much more to tell you about over the coming months & we can’t wait to see you out there.”

The statement was signed by vocalists and guitarists Laura Pleasants and Phillip Cope, so that leaves a little uncertainty as to who’s going to be behind the drumkit for the band. Still, it’s super exciting to see this news unfold, as they even said in their statement that they were planning a “limited number of special shows.”

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some music to reconnect with…
