Creed Finally Release Music Video for “Are You Ready?” 25 Years Later

I very unironically love Creed, and I very unironically love this. Even though the band has been on the receiving end of meme-ery and tomfoolery throughout the years, they’ve got quite a few wins under their belt that deserve some flowers. Creed want to make sure we put some mutherfuckin respect on their name, and part of that comes with their new music video for “Are You Ready?,” a track that came out 25 years ago that’s finally getting its visual accompaniment. You can watch the video below.

All of this actually comes thanks to the 25th anniversary of their sophomore album Human Clay. Ya know, the one that has those classics “Higher” and “With Arms Wide Open” on it, just in case you needed a reminder. As part of the celebration, they’re rereleasing the album with some bonus delights.

The double CD drop includes a remastered version of the original album, along with a never-heard live recording from a show they played in San Antonio, Texas back in 1999. There’s also alt versions of “With Arms Wide Open,” “Higher,” and a live recording of their cover of The Doors’ “Roadhouse Blues,” which features the OG guitarist for The Doors Robby Krieger.

Frontman Scott Stapp had this to say on making it this far:

“Twenty-five years ago, we could have never guessed we’d be celebrating Human Clay‘s lasting impact while embarking on a whole new chapter together in 2024. Then and now, it’s the fans who’ve embraced these songs and found a deeper connection to them as they’ve progressed in their lives. Now, we’re reconnecting with these songs like it’s the first time and seeing the impact on a whole new generation.”

The new version of Human Clay is available now, and you can catch Creed on their “Summer of ’99” and “Are You Ready?” tours throughout the rest of the year.
