Nailbomb is Reuniting for a One-Off Show in Arizona
There’s a special show lined up for November 9 in Tempe, Arizona that Max Cavalera fans aren’t going to want to miss. Dubbed the Max Cavalera Dynasty Show, it’s basically one big gig featuring the legacy of one Max Cavalera, with performances by Soulfly, Go Ahead and Die, and — rather surprisingly — Nailbomb.
Yes, that’s right. Nailbomb will be coming out of hiding/retirement to play their third show ever. For those that don’t know, Nailbomb was originally Max Cavalera (Soulfly, ex-Sepultura, etc.) and Alex Newport of Fudge Tunnel. The band eventually released an album titled Point Blank in 1994, only to support it with two shows.
Even though Cavalera’s referenced Nailbomb’s existence in the past by playing some of the band’s material with Soulfly over the years, there’s never been a real return for the band up until this newly announced show. This time around, Nailbomb will be comprised of: Max and Igor Cavalera on guitars; Pig Destroyer guitarist Travis Stone; Stone Sour/Fireball Ministry/Cavalera Conspiracy bassist Johnny Chow; Pig Destroyer drummer Adam Jarvis; and Pig Destroyer’s Alex Cha on the sampler.
Looking forward to the special show, Max said he was thrilled to put on what should be a special night of metal.
“I’m looking forward to playing with Soulfly on the Lamb of God Headbangers Boat, going to the Dominican Republic and back. We will be crossing the Southern most moshpits of America to reach the cruise! The tour wraps with the Dynasty show.
“Super excited to present the Max Cavalera Dynasty Show in our hometown! This is a family steeped in the legacy of Metal! Making this night unforgettable will be the special rare appearance of Nailbomb! Maybe in the future, I’ll even be able to bring this package to the tribe and other parts of the world!”
Incite, Healing Magic, Shadow Guilt, Six Million Dead, Ocean Harvest, and Zherra will round out The Max Cavalera Dynasty Show when it takes over the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Arizona. You can get your tickets today.
