Hatebreed Says They Are “Free Agents Right Now” and Searching for a New Label

0

It’s been a very long four years since 2020. Considering everything that’s happened in that time, it feels more like a few decades than a few years. So it’s been a long time to wait since the release of Connecticut-based metalcore band Hatebreed’s eighth album Weight of False Self was released on Nuclear Blast. But while Hatebreed says they have new music they’re ready to record, they’re apparently musically homeless, searching for a new label to put it out.

In a recent interview with Bloodstock TV (as transcribed by Blabbermouth), Hatebreed frontman, Jamey Jasta, was asked if we would hear any new music from the band in 2025 and Jasta confirmed they’re just looking for someone to put it out:

“Yeah, I hope so. Yeah, we’re actually free agents right now. So we’re talking to everybody, seeing what the options are. And I’ve been doing my own label… So people said, ‘Stop producing all these records and do your own damn record.’ It’s time, yeah.”

Jamey has been working as a producer on a few albums, including both of the last two albums from Dee Snider as well as Corpsegrinder’s 2022 self-titled album. While those are all great albums, I think we’d all still prefer to hear a new Hatebreed album.
