God Dethroned Release Video for “The Judas Paradox”
With their forthcoming album The Judas Paradox coming out next month, Dutch black/death metal band God Dethroned released the album’s title track and its accompanying music video earlier today. The track is a slower affair, simmering with dark intent and ddddrawing the listener into what the rest of the album has to offer.
Vocalist and guitarist Henri “The Serpent King” Sattler explained a little bit about the track, explaining in the process how Judas may have felt when getting ready to betray Jesus Christ.
“The title track of the album! The song talks about Judas Iscariot, who speaks about the events surrounding the betrayal of Jesus Christ from his point of view. It’s a topic which holds the world in its grip since the story became public knowledge. Musically it’s the most atmospheric and melody driven song on the album.”
