Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2025 Headliners Already Announced

0

Like Wacken, Bloodstock Open Air Festival cannot keep it in their pants. The 2024 edition of the festival has barely wrapped up at the time of my writing this, and they have already revealed some of who will be taking the stage for next year. So far, Trivium, Machine Head, and Olympic metalheads Gojira will cap off Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Bloodstock also announced 16 other bands that’ll play throughout the weekend. Among them are death metalheads Obiturary, Lacuna Coil’s gothic sounds, Emperor, The Black Dahlia Murder, and some tough boy shit from Kublai Khan TX.

Robb Flynn of Machine Head is fucking “stoked” to be playing, saying all this as mentioned in Metal Hammer:

“We honestly couldn’t be more stoked about hitting the stage at one of our favourite festivals to play.

“Bloodstock will forever hold a special place in our blackened hearts after our, now legendary, not-so-secret-secret-show on the Sophie Lancaster Stage back in 2022. That show, which marked our return to the live arena post-pandemic, was one of the hottest, wildest and most intense shows we’ve ever played on UK shores and we now want to recreate that magic again, and take it even higher in August 2025.

“Bloodstock, get ready because Machine Fuckin’ Head is coming to town and we want to see all you Head Cases lose it! BEERS UP!”

Cute.

The announcement also follows the erection (haha) of a new Lemmy tribute at the Bloodstock Festival grounds. Included in that tribute is a replica of the typical Lemmy tour dressing room with some of his photos and possessions. There’s also a bust containing some of Lemmy’s ashes that will live on the grounds as well.

This all came after singer Brocarde said she’d connected with Lemmy’s spirit while at Wacken, saying he appeared to her on a black stallion and holding a slice of pizza. Okay, girlie.
