Drummer Brandon Zackey Parts Ways with Enterprise Earth, Joins Whitechapel

0

After five years behind the kit for Enterprise Earth, drummer Brandon Zackey is no longer in the band. Now, it’s been a while since anyone that’s attended one of the band’s shows has seen Zackey actually perform that role, since he’s been away helping fill in for Whitechapel.

Now, after being away from the band for so long, both parties have decided to part ways and make things official. Enterprise Earth has since revealed that drummer Aron Hetsko is their new guy and that Whitechapel’s officially taken on Zackey as their full-time drummer.

This news stems from a pretty definitive statement from Enterprise Earth, who called the parting “bittersweet.”

“It’s with a bittersweet heart that we announce the departure of our drummer of the last 5+ years, Mr. President, Mr. Hands, the one and only, Brandon Zackey.

“As some of you are already aware, Brandon has been filling in for a lil ol’ band called Whitechapel over the last 2 years and has missed a few of our tours due to overlapping schedules, with Aron Hetsko filling in for us on most of those. Brandon has officially accepted the position as Whitechapel’s full time drummer, with our encouragement and blessing.

“Brandon is our bandmate, brother, and the best damn drummer any of us have ever played with and we could not be more happy for him to join one of the most legendary bands in our genre as there is no one more worthy of the position. While we wish we could clone him, unfortunately the intense schedules of being in two full time touring bands is A LOT and has already resulted in several tour conflictions, in addition to Brandon spending nearly all of his time on the road between both bands. Because of this, we have amicably decided to part ways as it’s the best thing for all of us.

“In addition to being an incredible drummer and bandmate, he has been a vital part of EE on and off the stage. His house was our home base for years (Thanks Annette Frawley, Jim, and Angie Zackey we love you too!) and he will forever be a part of the EE family. We love Brandon dearly, so please continue to support his journey!

“With Brandon’s departure we’d like to announce our new drummer Aron Hetsko! After a few tours with Aron, we knew we had our guy should Brandon no longer be able to do both gigs. He’s worked tirelessly to honor and faithfully recreate all of Brandon’s parts with fire and intensity to the best of his abilities, which is no easy task given Brandon’s prowess, while adding his own flair and personality. We could not be more stoked on having Aron join team EE and after watching him play, we’re confident all of you will be too!

“Check out Aron’s playthrough for Malevolent Force on our YT, link in bio.”

Strangely enough, Whitechapel has been pretty quiet about the lineup change on their end.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t help but feel for the dudes in Enterprise Earth. Sounds like they’re going to miss playing with Zackey, but at the same time, they’re happy for their buddy and ready to move on. Here’s hoping everything works out for both bands moving forward!
