Orange Goblin Stream “Ascend The Negative” Ahead of Friday’s Album Release
Riffs riffs riffs, man. Orange Goblin‘s got a new album titled Science, Not Fiction coming out this Friday and god damn it if the riffs aren’t real on this one. With time getting closer to its release, the band dropped the album’s fourth single, “Ascend The Negative.”
Having already listened to the album a bit, I gotta say this one really stands out. It’s heavy, it’s groovy, and I just know it’s going to sound huge live. And who knows? Maybe they’ll react to a killer cover of this one day. You can check out the song and accompanying music video below or you can listen to it wherever you get your music.
Speaking of the new single, frontman and lyricist Ben Ward laid out what the song’s all about.
“We are delighted to present the fourth single from our new album, Ascend The Negative. A riff heavy exploration of the power of positive thought and changes. It’s a song about breaking old habits, breaking cycles and embracing change, forging new routines, new outlooks and new ambitions. As human beings we all have a relatively short existence on this tiny blue dot in the universe so we all need to make every day count. Conquer your demons, strive to be better and enjoy the ride!”
