Chat Pile’s Next Album Cool World Due Out in October
The long-awaited follow up to Chat Pile‘s 2022 debut album God’s Country has finally seen the light of day, as the band announced earlier this morning the impending arrival of Cool World. Set to release on October 11 via The Flenser, this new offering’s gonna boast 10 new tracks from the Oklahoma City-based noise rock foursome.
Speaking of the themes present in this new offering, vocalist Raygun Busch said the band’s sophomore effort will be a continuation of God’s Country, only amped up a bit.
“Cool World covers similar themes to our last album, except now exploded from a micro to macro scale, with thoughts specifically about disasters abroad, at home, and how they affect one another. If I had to describe the album in one sentence, it’s hard not to borrow from Voltaire, so I won’t resist – Cool World is about the price at which we eat sugar in America.”
To get the hype properly boiling, the band released the album’s first frenetic single “I Am Dog Now” and its accompanying music video. And as you’ll hear and see in the video below, there’s no stopping Chat Pile from plowing forward with this new release.
Cool World will be released on October 11 via The Flenser, but you can preorder and pre-save your copy today. The band also has some live dates planned for this November, so be sure to check out the list of dates below to see if they’re coming to a venue near you.
