This is Hell Cancel European Tour Due to Drummer’s Injury

0

Bad news for European hardcore fans: Long Island hardcore crew This is Hell won’t be terrorizing Europe for their 20th anniversary as a band after all, due to their drummer, Mike Sciulara, injuring his wrist. Here’s the message they posted about it on their Instagram:

“Bad News: Mike (our drummer) had an MRI earlier this week on his wrist that revealed an issue that has to be dealt with now to avoid long term damage, because of this we are going to have to postpone the European tour this summer. It’s a huge bummer, but Mike needs proper treatment, rest, and recovery. Everyone send him their best & we hope to get over there in 2025. Apologies to the promoters/festivals, and anyone else who had a hand in helping set this up, we were very much looking forward to finally getting back to Europe.”

As unfortunate as that is, the alternative is to force their drummer to keep pushing through an injury until the injury becomes permanent and he ruins his career. Then they would need to go to the drummer store and pick up a new drummer, and that can get really expensive. Plus, do you have any idea how much paperwork you have to do when you break your drummer?

In all seriousness, this is probably the best decision for the band, and we would hate to see Sciulara ruin the use of his wrist for drumming, amongst, um, other activities. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Here’s a list of the canceled tour dates:

08/02 Duffel, BEL – Brakrock Festival
08/03 Barendrecht, NET – De Beuk
08/04 Siegen, GER – Kult Kaff
08/06 Bratislava, SLO – Pink Whale (feat. Terror)
08/07 Jaromer, CZE – Brutal Assault Festival
08/08 Passau, GER – Zauberberg (feat. Comeback Kid)
08/09 Lichtenstein, GER – JZ Riot
08/10 Villmar, GER – Tells Bells Festival
