Sadly, Disturbed Are “Kind of Getting the Ball Rolling” on New Music
Last week, Disturbed frontman David Draiman took a break from posting weird patriotic shit and pro-Israel propaganda on Instagram to post pictures of Disturbed in the studio working on something new, with a caption reading:
“Epic shit alert”
This has led many to fear that new Disturbed music may be coming soon. Well, Disturbed guitarist Dan Donegan took to Instagram Live yesterday (as transcribed by Blabbermouth) to clarify what was going on:
“I can’t really say. There’s no timeframe. I know there was a post earlier of us in the studio and that was just us kind of getting the ball rolling. No planned date, so sorry to burst your bubble. I’m not prematurely getting you too excited about it other than we have some downtime, so it was fun to get together and get creative for a moment. Things went amazing, but we’re not planning on any release any time soon. It was just an opportunity to get in a room and get creative again. So [I’m] very, very excited about what we’re coming up with, but there’s not gonna be a release this year, let me be clear on that.”
So, we’re sorry to report, new Disturbed music is in the works, but thankfully it won’t be out until next year. Still, if you’re the type of sadist who is happy about new Disturbed music, you might be excited to check them out live at the following dates:
Aug 28 – Dubuque, IA – Buck Waters Stage at Q Casino
Aug 31 – Pryor, OK – Rocklahoma
Sep 28 – Louisville, KY – Louder Than Life
Oct 13 – Sacramento, CA – Aftershock Festival
Nov 20 – Mexico City, Mexico – Foro Sol (with Iron Maiden)
