Wind Rose Announce New Album, Drop Deep Rock Galactic Inspired Single “Rock And Stone”
I don’t know if you’ve gathered this by now, but I’m a massive fucking video gaming nerd. I got all the consoles, upgrade my PC to play the latest titles… you name it. One game that’s been taking up a lot of my attention over the years has been the insanely awesome dwarven mining first-person shooter Deep Rock Galactic. It’s just so hectic and a ton of fun to play with your buddies.
So when I found out that Italian dwarven power metal act Wind Rose released a new song inspired by that very game titled “Rock and Stone”, you bet your ass it was going to make the MetalSucks front page.
According to the band, they teamed up with Deep Rock Galactic development company Ghost Ship Games to write and perform the kick ass new song. In the accompanying music video, you can even see elements of the game amidst the band’s performance, which is super cool as a fan.
Following the release of the track, the band issued the following statement:
“Dwarfs from around the world, WE HEARD YOU! We teamed up with Deep Rock Galactic to release our new single “Rock And Stone”, which will be the ultimate anthem of Dwarf Metal!
“If You don’t ‘Rock and Stone,’ You ain’t coming home!”
This new track is the inaugural single off the band’s forthcoming album Trollslayer, which is set for release this October 4 via Napalm Records. You can pre-order your copy today. They also have a long list of live shows lined up. You can check those out below as well.
