Travis and Jason Kelce’s Beer Company Parodies Sanguisugabogg’s Logo

It’s not often that we get to mention Sanguisugabogg and Taylor Swift in the same story, let alone the same sentence, but I guess today is special.

Recently-retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce and his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Taylor Swift beau Travis Kelce, own a light beer company out of Columbus, Ohio called Garage Beer. The company is very tongue-in-cheek in their social media presence and advertising, with the amusing slogan “Beer Flavored Beer.” It’s a recent venture that was started earlier this year, but their profile is quickly growing due to the fame of the two brothers. And, it would seem, they’re fans of local-to-them death metallers Sanguisugabogg, judging from a recent post the company made on social media.

Yesterday, Garage Beer posted a tweet on Twitter that was a clear joking reference to Sanguisugabogg’s indecipherable logo. The post features a logo that looks an awful lot like the Sanguisugabogg logo, complete with the caption “It’s pronounced Garage Beer,” referencing Sanguisugabogg’s joke from last year when they were asked on social media how to pronounce their name and they simply responded “It’s pronounced Sanguisugabogg.” If the reference wasn’t obvious enough, Garage Beer also tagged Sanguisugabogg in the post. Sanguisugabogg quickly responded on Twitter, writing:

“Move over Kelce brothers, leave the drinking to us”

Lots of people on Twitter made jokes about the post, and many pointed out that this implies that Taylor Swift is aware of Sanguisugabogg, which is kind of hilarious. Can you just imagine the world’s biggest and most successful pop star coming over to her boyfriend’s house to find him listening to some devastating death metal and him saying “You have to check this out!”? Oh, to be a fly on that wall.
