Nile Release “To Strike with Secret Fang,” Reveal Co-Headlining U.S. Tour with Six Feet Under
With their new album The Underworld Awaits Us All slated to come out next month via Napalm Records, Nile hit the metal world with a 1-2 punch today that’s sure to get fans beyond stoked. This morning the band dropped their latest single “To Strike with Secret Fang,” only for them to also announce a co-headlining U.S. tour set for early next year with Six Feet Under.
Let’s start off by saying it’s so nice to see a reasonably titled single from Nile this time around. Last time we posted about a new Nile track, the song was titled (I kid you not) “Chapter for Not Being Hung Upside Down on a Stake in the Underworld and Made to Eat Feces by the Four Apes”. That is for real. This time around, “To Strike with Secret Fang” is a straight up death metal ripper. Clocking in at just under two minutes, it’s a no-bullshit offering from the American death metal outfit.
In addition to the single’s release, Nile announced that they’ll be co-headlining a U.S. tour with Six Feet Under. Set to run from January 7, 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee and coming to a close on February 22, 2025, in Houston, Texas.
Speaking of both the new single and the tour announcement, Karl Sanders said things were looking up for the band and that fans should be stoked about what’s coming next.
“‘To Strike with Secret Fang’ is a straight-to-the-point, uptempo blasting venomous assassin’s blade of a metal song. It’s the shortest track off the new record, The Underworld Awaits us All, which of course in Nile fashion has several long form complex metal compositions. But ‘Fang’ instantly goes right for the throat and will no doubt be a burner for live Nile shows.
“Speaking of, Nile is very pleased for the opportunity to once again share the stage with the guys in Six Feet Under and Psycroptic. We are also primed and ready to play some of the killer songs from the new Nile album for metal fans, as well as classic Nile tracks that have become live favorites over the years. We have no doubt that metal will take place!”
Coming along with Nile and Six Feet Under will be supporting acts Psycroptic and Embryonic Autopsy. Tickets for the tour will go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 12 at 10 a.m. EST, with chances to get pre-show meet and greet passes at that time for both headliners.
