Mastodon Merch Madness Continues with Their Own Pickles
We may be patiently waiting for new Mastodon tunes to finally become a reality, but the boys from Atlanta, Georgia are back with something some people may find even more exciting and important than new music — their own limited edition line of pickles!
Okay, so it’s probably not as exciting as a new song or something, but two months after their little rope-a-dope situation with their $92 set of tiki mugs, they announced earlier today that they’re teaming up with Kelly’s Death Pickles for a line of their own briny goodies.
Just as they did with the aforementioned mugs, each member of the band is represented with their own take on the product. In this case, Troy Sanders, Bill Kelliher, Brann Dailor, and Brent Hinds each have their own pickle variation with different flavor profiles.
Available now on both the band’s official merch page and directly from Kelly’s Death Pickles, the following pickle descriptions provide a bit of an idea of what each jar of pickled cucumbers will taste like:
- Troy Sanders Diller Be Dilled – a traditional sour dill pickle exploding with garlic. (NO HEAT)
- Bill Kelliher Dead and Butterslax – our take on traditional, sweet bread and butter pickles with some unique added spices. (NO HEAT)
- Brann Dailor JalaBranño Dill – Jalapeño peppers infused into our dill pickle brine. (A KICK OF JALAPENO HEAT)
- Dirty B. Hinds Dill with the Devil – The name says it all. The hottest heat from Carolina Reaper peppers and just a bit of beets for the color added to our dill brine. These are HOT!
In addition to the announcement, the band put out a silly little ad over on Instagram, which you can check out below. Each jar of pickles costs $10 and unfortunately for our international readers, they’re only available in the U.S. at this time.
