1349, Blood Incantation, Aeternus Among First Bands Announced for Inferno Metal Festival
We may be nine months out from next year’s iteration of Inferno Metal Festival, but that’s not going to stop organizers from trying to get you stoked for what they’ve got in store, as they dropped the first batch of bands for next year’s event.
For those that don’t know what the Inferno Metal Festival is, it’s an extreme metal festival held in various venues throughout Oslo, Norway over the course of four days. Sure, it takes place during Easter, but something tells me if you’re a fan of black metal and death metal, you’re probably not going to lose sleep over not celebrating a religious holiday like that.
Earlier today, organizers released the first ten bands that they signed for the show. And let’s just say this — it’s a killer lineup to start. Without going into it too much, here’s the list of bands:
- 1349
- Blood Incantation
- Aeternus
- Seth
- Abyssic
- Spectral Wound
- Angist
- Bythos
- Syn
- Violent Magic Orchestra
Inferno Metal Festival will take place from April 17 to April 20 in Oslo, Norway. The festival will take place primarily on Rockefeller’s two stages: Rockefeller and John Dee, as well as other smaller clubs around the city. If next year’s festival is like previous years, there will also be a number of conferences and sightseeing tours. Tickets are available today with four-day passes for 3,400 NOK ($322.14 USD) and four-day passes and access to the conference for 3,950 NOK ($374.25 USD).
