Check Out Melt-Banana’s New Track “Flipside” from Their First New Album in Over a Decade

Get ready for a wild and frenetic trip back down the rabbit hole, as Japanese noise rock outfit Melt-Banana released a new song “Flipside”. Seriously, you just have to check it out.

Featured on their forthcoming album 3+5, the new track is both easy and hard to describe. At its core, it’s a hyperactive bomb of movement, running for just under two minutes but commanding your senses all the same. It’s a sonic cruise missile that’s equally fast and fun. From the start, Yasuko Onuki’s peppy vocals, blasting drums, and wild guitar movements really drive things forward. But thanks to the language barrier, it’s hard to know what the message is — if there is one.

As you may or may not know, it’s been 11 years since Melt-Banana last released an album, so needless to say, this has been looooooooooong overdue.
