Slaughter to Prevail’s Alex Terrible Helped Load an Injured Fan Into an Ambulance at Graspop
It’s an unavoidable fact of metal shows, but you sometimes run the risk of getting hurt. It’s just the nature of moshing and the pit. Hell, I once watched a friend of mine accidentally get her teeth knocked out in the pit. It just happens. So when things went crazy during Slaughter to Prevail‘s set at the Graspop Metal Meeting last weekend and the band had to stop the show twice to help injured fans, it was an unfortunate situation, for sure.
Yet for one fan, the fact that they were hurt during the show led to a moment he’ll never forget, as he was helped into a waiting ambulance by none other than Slaughter to Prevail vocalist Alex Terrible. In what had to be a nearly pants-shittingly unexpected surprise, the Russian bear- and bare-knuckle fighting singer stood by the fan’s side and took a selfie with him before the fan was carted away to treat his injuries.
Following the incident, Terrible posted the following statement with footage of how things went down on his Instagram page.
“We played Graspop Metal Meeting tonight and during our set we had to stop 2 time because people got injured. After the set I saw ambulance and I thought maybe it was our fan. I was right. When he saw me he was so happy and I was happy as well. If you read this I’m sorry man, but hope you are alright. Our manager caught it on the video, if you see this or you know this guy dm my mamager Ilya Mamay I want to send this man mask.”
As people responded positively to the situation, praising Terrible for being there for the injured fan in that situation, he responded by saying that it’s the kind of thing more people should be willing to do for others.
“Hey guys I really appreciate your words and it touch my heart. Thank you. But I really believe that every NORMAL person have to do this. It’s all about respect and care. And if you are not like that there is something wrong with you.”
