Ghost’s New Song “The Future Is A Foreign Land” Now Streaming

After last night’s worldwide premiere of Ghost‘s movie Rite Here Rite Not, fans everywhere are getting a heroic dose of the band’s latest lore. Yes, it’s a 2.5 hour long movie about a silly (yet incredibly catchy and important) metal band, but it’s also a major event for fans. And while we can’t talk about what happens in the movie, we can talk about the tunes — more specifically, we can talk about the new song “The Future Is A Foreign Land.”

You may recall that we were among the first to report on the existence of this song a couple weeks ago. Since the movie was based on the two shows the band played in Los Angeles last year, we pretty much already knew the list of songs that were going to make it into the flick. This song, however, was written entirely for the movie and as theatergoers found out last night, served as the backing track for the credits.

As you can hear in the clip below, it’s once again a “retro” Ghost track, featuring Papa Nihil and the 60s version of the band. Set in 1969, it’s got that same style that the tracks from the band’s Seven Inches of Satanic Panic EP has, which you either love or hate (personally, I’m in the latter camp).

If you’d like to hear the song on a professional-grade sound system, you can do so by checking out the movie at a theater near you. Additional showings have been added to the list, so chances are you’ll be able to catch a showing between now and June 23.
