Annihilator Livestream Concert to Commemorate 35th Anniversary of Alice In Hell

More nostalgia coming your way, ladies and gents. Apparently, Canadian thrash metal outfit Annihilator is getting in on the trend and celebrating the 35th anniversary of their debut album Alice In Hell with a special livestream event from the U.K.

Now, I know what you’re wondering — didn’t their vocalist sadly pass away back in 2018? Yes, he did. Stepping in to fill those shoes will be none other than Into Eternity and ex-Iced Earth vocalist Stu Block.

Set to take place on June 29 at 12pm PST / 3pm EST / 8pm UK / 9pm CET, the livestream will be a one-and-done affair where they’ll play the entire Alice In Hell record. No downloads, no repeats, just one performance that you either catch or you don’t.

In addition to Block, the band’s lineup will include guitarist and founder Jeff Waters, guitarist Aaron Homma, bassist Rich Gray (a.k.a. Rich Hinks), and drummer Fabio Alessandrini. To hype the event up, Waters posted a video to the band’s official Facebook page, which you can watch below.

“We are celebrating, as some of you already know, the Alice In Hell record, which is 35 years old now. And to celebrate that for you, actually, we want to do, and we’ll do, a live stream, one-off, no downloads, no repeats. It’s gonna happen on Saturday, June the 29th.

“We are gonna play the entire Alice In Hell record. We’re gonna play some other classic Annihilator songs. We are gonna give you some documentary footage talking about the record and the making of the album and the early days. Also, we are featuring Stu Block — yes, the amazing Stu Block is going to sing in honor of Randy Rampage, the original singer, and we’re gonna have a blast. So come and join us on Saturday, June 29th. Check it out.”

Additionally, the band will play other fan-favorite tracks, along with the screening of a documentary on the band and its debut album.

Tickets for this special event available right now for $19.99. Honestly, if you’re even remotely a fan of Annihilator — or you find yourself bored out of your skull on June 29, $20 isn’t a huge commitment. Just get yours and have a good time.
