Extinction A.D. Release New Single “Impervious (Unrepentant)” Off Upcoming Album To The Detested
It’s time for more Extinction Anno Domini, I guess. I don’t know, I never really understood that band name. Crossover thrash band Extinction A.D. released their latest single yesterday, “Impervious (Unrepentant)” which features a guest appearance from Trivium guitarist and vocalist Matthew Heafy. It marks the first single off their upcoming album To the Detested which comes out August 16 on Unique Leader Records.
The band had this to say about the single:
“‘Impervious’ is another exercise for us in stretching ourselves. Embracing some different tempos, instrumentation and inclusion of guest vocals with Matt Heafy. Working with Matt for the track as well as the video was very gratifying and lot of fun. He’s been a big supporter of the band since the jump so it was rad to get together for some music after all this time.
“Time moves on but things sometimes seem to sink further and further into a festering pit in this world. Humans are steadily losing their humanity in the current state of things, so finding a way to survive without becoming a monster yourself is becoming increasingly difficult.”
While the accompanying music video for the song looks like it was shot on an old camcorder with the white balance out of whack, the song itself rips and promises an exciting new album to come.
To The Detested will be released on August 16 via Unique Leader Records, but you can preorder your copy today.
