Cryptopsy Sign with Season of Mist, Hint at New Music and Reissues Coming
Canadian death metal band Cryptopsy has been rolling as of late. After releasing As Gomorrah Burns last September and winning a Juno Award as a result, the band’s taking another major step in its career. Earlier this week they announced that they were leaving Nuclear Blast and had just signed with Season of Mist.
The band touted the move, saying they chose to join the label because of their “dedication to artistic integrity and their track record of supporting diverse and innovative music.”

In addition to announcing the change in labels, the band hinted that new music was in the works despite being busy touring at the moment. It was also revealed that he band also planned to eventually put out “definitive reissues from their classic catalogue.”
Even though most of this is inside baseball stuff and fans won’t really see any changes until new products come out with the Seasons of Mist List on it, That’s why it’s a good thing that the band’s also on tour right now with Death to All. Later this year, they’ll also be touring with Carnifex, Mental Cruelty, Organectomy, and Heavy/Hitter. You can find the full list of dates below.
