John 5 Takes a Stroll Down Memory Lane with “A Hollywood Story,” Announces More Solo Dates
He may be the guitarist in Mötley Crüe, but John 5 is more than “Looks That Kill” and “Girls, Girls, Girls” these days. The man’s a talented musician and he’s got a solo career to think of, too. That’s why he released a new single and accompanying music video for “A Hollywood Story” while simultaneously announcing solo tour dates.
As one might guess, the song goes over John 5’s life “from picking up his first guitar at the age of 7 to recording acclaimed solo material and touring the world with the likes of Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Rob Halford and – currently – Mötley Crüe.”
“’A Hollywood Story’ is a look back on my career and how lucky I am to have had the experiences that I’ve had. When you’re a little kid, in your room, dreaming of your future, I never could’ve dreamt of what has happened to me in real life. I’m so appreciative and so happy. So go after your dreams whatever they may be.”
In addition to the track and video, John 5 announced a string of tour dates already lined up. Set to kick off on September 1 in Boston and coming to an end on October 24, the ‘Strung Out Tour 2024’ will hit a number of major venues, with several stops in Canada.
