You may or may not know this, but Philly’s got one hell of a metal scene. In a city that knows everyone around it hates it — and it doesn’t care — you bet your ass the shows that happen here go hard. And nowhere was that more on display than at Warehouse on Watts this past weekend, as Cognitive held a release show for their new album Abhorrence with a couple friends.
Aside from the headlining act, the night had tons of killer tunes thanks to supporting acts Compulsed, Bonginator, and NecroticGoreBeast. As you can see from the photos below, it was a hell of a time.
Even though you missed out on seeing Cognitive live, that’s okay. You’re going to have a buncha chances to see ’em. This July they’ll be heading out on tour with Dysentery and Atræ Bilis. Oh, and they’re playing this year’s Metal Injection Festival. You can find the dates below.
