Employed to Serve Have Finished Work on Their New Album

0

British metal band Employed to Serve seem to be one of those few bands that most metalheads can agree on, and that’s a real rarity in metal fandom. These days, it seems that it’s impossible to get two metalheads to agree that the sun rises in the east. When we last heard from Employed to Serve, they released their critically-acclaimed album Conquering in 2021. Now it would seem that we have good news for everyone, because they’ve announced that they’ve finally completed work on the follow-up to Conquering.

The vague announcement came from the band’s Instagram, where they wrote:

“Hey,

“ETS here. Just wanted ya’ll to know we’ve finished work on our new album.

“Love and heavy metal unity always.

“XXX”

The phrase “finished work” could mean a lot of things, but they also included a screenshot of a folder in their Dropbox titled “Main Mix – Masters,” which would seem to suggest that the album is mixed and mastered. Hopefully this means we won’t have to wait too long to hear the finished product, as Conquering was one hell of a ripper.

Employed to Serve have only two tour live shows scheduled for the rest of the year, and both of them are festivals. First, they’ll be playing the second day of Core Festival in Glasgow on August 3, a festival that features a wide variety of artists from different genres but includes such heavy favorites as Show Me the Body and Empire State Bastard. Then they’re playing the Misery Loves Company Festival in Bristol, UK on September 28. The festival, again, features a number of different genres, but has a number of hard rockers including Death Goals and Saint Agnes.
