Lzzy Hale Says She Hopes She and Skid Row “Will Be Able to Join Forces Again Down the Road”

Everyone who was hoping for Skid Lzzy to become a permanent thing, which might have been mostly just me, is pretty disappointed right now. Lzzy Hale’s recent fourth show with Skid Row was billed as her final performance, despite her saying back in April that she would probably stay on past those four shows. Hale has now confirmed that she is unable to commit to a full-time role in the band, but has said she hopes to work with them again at some point in the future.

Here’s what Hale had to say on her official Instagram:

“My soul is still buzzing from the crazy ride I was just on.

“Thank you so much to Rachel, Snake, Scotti, Rob, their amazing crew and the entire Skid Row fan base for putting your trust in me. Thank you for bringing me into your tribe, and allowing me to live inside your legacy for a moment.
“What started out as friends helping out friends, bloomed into something bigger than any of us could’ve imagined.

“I’m overflowing with gratitude.
“This experience of getting to deep dive into Skid Row has given me a rare opportunity to deepen my love for these men I get to call friends. And the soul bonding moments we created together musically will live with me forever.
“And even though this particular time in my life prevents me from committing to a permanent role in Skid Row…I am sending in my official request to the universe that we will be able to join forces again down the road.
“With Love and Loud Music, Lzzy Hale”

By all accounts, Hale killed it as a fill-in singer for the band, and it would have been nice to see that relationship continue. Meanwhile, Skid Row continues to look into new singers, saying they’re talking to some people who aren’t big names right now. Hopefully another Skid Row/Lzzy Hale collaboration does come down the road someday, because I honestly just want to hear a few Skid Row classics re-recorded with Hale.
