W.A.S.P. to Perform Their Debut Album on Tour with Death Angel, Unto Others

0

Add another band to the long list of acts suckling on the nostalgia-filled teat of time, as W.A.S.P. just announced a North American tour set for later this year in which they’ll play the entirety of their 1984 self-titled debut album. If your math is up to snuff, then you already gathered that they’re doing this for the album’s 40th anniversary.

Frontman Blackie Lawless said the time was right to commemorate the band’s inaugural album, stating that it really was a time capsule for the band at the time.

“It was an angry record made by an angry band. It was a record that not only reflected the attitude of the band members who made it, but also a record that reflected its time.”

Set to run from October 26 in San Luis Obispo, California to December 14 in Los Angeles, California, the 39-date trek will hit a wide range of stops along the way. Hell, even our friends in Canada are getting some stops in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, and Quebec City.

Coming along for the tour will be Death Angel and Unto Others, though there will be some stops along the tour where either one or both of the opening acts won’t be playing. You can find the full list of dates below.
