Sebastian Bach on Skid Row Reunion: “There’s Nothing Happening on That Front Right Now”
More bad news for Sebastian Bach stans, the people who are more used to getting bad news than Dallas Cowboys fans: the decision not to bring back Bach to Skid Row seems to be, at least somewhat, mutual.
Skid Row founding guitarist Dave “Snake” Sabo made it very clear recently that the band is very happy, for the time being, with Halestorm vocalist Lzzy Hale who has been standing in as a temporary vocalist for the band following the departure of vocalist Erik Grönwall to focus on his cancer treatment. While Sabo didn’t directly state that they were looking to make Hale a permanent member, he seemed to be leaning that way when he said that “it doesn’t necessarily have to be a male singer in SKID ROW.” As for the possibility of Sebastian Bach returning, Sabo was pretty definitive in rejecting that idea:
“Well, the answer has been the same for — I don’t know — 20,000 years now. It’s not gonna happen. And I say the same thing every time.”
Well, it now looks like Bach and his ex-bandmates are finally on the same page about something, but that something is the fact that Bach isn’t reuniting with Skid Row anytime soon. When asked about the possibility of reuniting with his former band on a recent appearance on podcast That Fuzzing Rock Show, Bach had this to say, as transcribed by Blabbermouth:
“Well, there’s nothing happening on that front right now. Other than me and Rob [Affuso], the drummer of SKID ROW[‘s classic lineup], are making videos together and hanging out and getting along great. But I’m too busy with my own stuff to even think about that. But it would be cool to happen, I think for the fans mostly. But there’s nothing happening right now on that front”
Fans of Sabastian Bach will probably be upset, once again, that the band and Bach aren’t willing to put aside their differences and reunite, but you would think that maybe everyone could just be happy that Skid Row found someone they’re happier with in Lzzy Hale.
Check out Skid Row on their scheduled dates with Hale, although it seems there will be more to follow:
