Ozzy’s Got a Second Rock Hall Induction Speech to Write and He’s Worried He’ll “F*ck It Up”
Earlier this year, the folks behind the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame unfucked a stupid situation and announced that Ozzy Osbourne would be inducted for the second time, only now it would be for his solo career. It’s a huge accomplishment and yet another accolade to add to his impressive line of career highlights. But there’s only one thing — he still has to go and deliver a speech. And he’s terrified he’s gonna make a fool of himself.
That revelation came about during the most recent episode of The Osbournes podcast. During the episode, he and his family talked about his upcoming induction, along with everything that comes with it. The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony will take place on October 19 at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. And while that means there will be plenty of time to rub elbows with other music luminaries, that also means Ozzy will have to stand in front of a crowd and deliver an acceptance speech.
And while you’d think he’d be fine with that given all of the people he’s performed in front of since the fuckin’ late 60s, he admitted on the podcast that it’s the part he’s dreading the most.
“I’m just nervous that if I don’t start rehearsing the fuckin’ speech right now, I’ll fuck it up.”
If you’ve ever taken public speaking or had to deliver a presentation, you probably know exactly what Ozzy’s feeling. See? He’s just like us. The family later discussed what each member felt was the dumbest thing they’d ever publicly said, but you have to check out the show to find out everyone’s answers.
