Nothing More Releases New Track “Angel Song” Featuring David Draiman of Disturbed
Great news for butt rock fans: David Draiman of Disturbed recently took a moment off from making controversial statements about his support for Israel long enough to team up with Nothing More for a new track called “Angel Song.” In a statement reported on by Metal Injection, Draiman had this to say about the new song:
“The power of the track is undeniable. I’ve been a fan of the band since the very beginning.”
And Nothing More frontman Johnny Hawkins added to that:
“‘ANGEL SONG’ is the haunting sound of our past selves melting into a future that is as bright as it is dark. Our animal nature is getting more and more chewed up by society and our souls swallowed by technology, but there’s something in us that wants to fight back. As the song was coming together in the studio, it became immediately clear to us that David Draiman’s voice would take it to another level. We’re so happy with the result.”
The new single is perfectly polished for a mainstream audience. One might say that Nothing More is down with the slickness. (Feel free to groan at that one.) The strange video depicts a woman who appears to be from the 18th or 19th century doing chores when she witnesses a robot on fire. Then robots start falling out of the sky. I’d make a “bodies hit the floor” joke, but that’s a different band.
