Pallbearer to Host Listening Parties for New Album

0

Have you ever watched a television show or movie that you’ve never seen before while sitting right next to someone who’s seen it a million times and they watch you intently to make sure you’re reacting at all the right moments? You know how obnoxious that is? Imagine if you did that with a metal album, only instead of a fan who’s listened to it a million times, you’re being watched intently by the band that created the album. Can you imagine how uncomfortable that would be? Well, now you can have that uncomfortable experience first-hand with the new Pallbearer album Mind Burns Alive.

According to Lambgoat, Little Rock doom metal band Pallbearer are putting on two listening parties of the new album, one in person and the other online. There’s the online one via Bandcamp on May 16 at 1 PM PT/4 PM ET, and the in-person one at the Mutants of the Monster Festival on May 16 at 6 PM CT at the Argenta Theater in the band’s hometown of Little Rock. The band will be interacting with fans during the online one, and will also be present for the in-person one. This whole situation sounds more and more uncomfortable the more I think about it.

Pallbearer are also launching the “Temporary Spaces North American Tour” which kicks off June 6. Presumably the band will actually be playing songs from the album on that tour instead of just sitting and watching you listen to their songs like a creep. Check out the full list of dates below:
