Weekend Reader Poll: Which Nu-Metal Band Was The Worst?

With all the hubbub going on about how “nu-metal is so back” and “yo, Slipknot’s back in their 1999 gear” and “dude, let’s go to Sick New World” and “Powerman 5000’s making new music in 2024”, it got us wondering. Is there any nu-metal band that wouldn’t immediately spark nostalgia-gasms among those of us old enough to have lived through the genre’s heyday? Who do we, as a collective, believe is the worst nu-metal band?

Now, this isn’t out of hate, mind you. It’s just that if there’s to be a pantheon of nu-metal greatness like some of our contemporaries want to highlight, then that has to mean someone in the lineup just doesn’t measure up. Surely there’s a band from that time period that none of us want to see on a festival lineup.

Having lived through it all, I know a few bands on the list below that I’d gladly forget about if I could. But I can because, well, it’s my job not to. It’s a curse, really. But now I get to remind you that these bands existed, if only for you to cast your vote for them in a throwaway weekend poll!
