Now You Can Warm Up Your Voice Just Like Unleash The Archers’ Brittney Slayes
When one thinks of power metal, what stands out to you the most? Is it the thundering drums? Is it the driving guitar and wailing solos? Probably. For my money, it’s the borderline operatic vocals that really cut through everything. And one band and vocalist have that in spades, it’s Unleash The Archers with the impressive Brittney Slayes.
We recently sat down with Slayes to learn how she manages to maintain her vocal cords while still delivering those soaring highs that seem to go on forever. Just like any good musician, it takes time, practice, and remembering to properly warm up in order to deliver the type of performance you’d expect from someone as talented as Slayes.
If you’d like to learn how to warm up your vocals like a power metal singer, then make sure to hit play on the video below. It’s not every day you get to learn from someone doing it at such a high level.
We’d like to thank Brittney Slayes for taking the time to spill the tricks of her trade and showing how she warms up her “diaphragm of steel” ahead of a good power metal show. Be sure to check out and preorder Unleash The Archers’ new album Phantoma when it comes out this Friday, May 10.
Oh and don’t forget to like/subscribe/thumbs up/hit the notification bell/comment/send smoke signal on our YouTube channel. You’ll be an even better singer if you do…
