Check Out the Trailer for Ghost’s Rite Here, Rite Now, Tickets On Sale
Well, like clockwork the band people just looooove to shit on in the comments Ghost released the trailer for their upcoming movie Rite Here, Rite Now and it sure is a trailer. Listen, there’s very little that’s going to sway the non-Ghost fan to go out and see this thing in theaters, so you either know without ever having to press play on the video below whether you’re going to see this thing or not.
That being said, if you’re a fan then you’ll want to hit play, because it gives a little more insight into how the movie’s gonna look. Sure there’s live footage from their two 2023 Los Angeles shows at the Kia Forum, but it looks like there’s some fun interstitials as well, including what looks like some animated bits. Should be weird at the very least.
And if you’re a fan of the band, then you know this is very likely how we’re going to find out the fate of Papa Emeritus IV. Whereas previous iterations of the character were forced off the stage during a live show, it sounds like a) this movie’s going to take that spectacle’s place and b) I don’t think Papa IV is going anywhere.
In addition to the trailer release, tickets are now on sale at participating theaters, so be sure to check your local listings. The movie will be shown just twice worldwide on June 20 and June 22, though I personally saw some smaller theaters also having a June 21 showing so your mileage may vary. The press release also warns t hat exact screening dates will vary between territories and regions, so again — check your local theater’s listings.
And if the trailer wasn’t enough, the band also released the live version of “Absolution” off their album Meliora that’s featured in the movie’s soundtrack. Speaking of the soundtrack, that’s also available as an 18-song complimentary release that will be available in all formats. You can preorder your copy today.
