Korn is Back in the adidas Game with Another Collab
Were you one of the many people that was bummed you missed out on the Korn/adidas collaboration and wish you had a second shot at a nu metal track suit in 2024? Then boy do I have some news for you, as the nu metal icons have once again partnered with the fashion label for a new line of tracksuits, shoes, and other items to drape on your corporeal form.
Just like last time, the band will offer a range of (pretty expensive) items, though this run is based on the 25th anniversary of Follow The Leader. This new drop will include modified versions of Adidas’ Campus 2 and Supermodified sneakers, a green sequined tracksuit, socks, a hat, and a long-sleeve with three stripes on the sleeves. You may recall that the last tracksuit they sold was purple.
Adidas gave some more detail about some of the items they’ll be offering:
“Continuing to celebrate and advance an enduring legacy of trailblazing cultural impact, the footwear selection comprises custom takes on the Campus 2 silhouette and a bold update to the Supermodified sneaker. The chunky Campus 2 look is updated with a furry suede upper and hidden KoRn details, while the KoRn web-store exclusive Supermodified silhouette features striking bright green accents. The colorways of both sneakers draw on the aesthetic codes of sought-after vintage KoRn t-shirts released during the album cycle of Follow the Leader. In addition, both looks boast a suite of unique accompaniments including graphic insoles, spare laces in multiple colorways, a set of chunky laces, a collection of four stickers, a guitar pick keychain, and a co-branded tour-style box.”
At this time we don’t know what the prices for everything will be, but we can sure as hell make an assumption that they’ll be roughly similar to the last collaboration. If that’s the case, then we can expect the tracksuit to set you back $300 ($200 for the jacket and $100 for the pants). Depending on the shoes you want, you could end up paying $140 for the Supermodified shoes or $130 for the Campus 00s shoes. As for the shirt, that could be anywhere from $50 to $60 and we have no idea what they’d charge for socks but I bet it’s no less than $20 per pair.
Even with such high prices, this will likely sell out insanely fast. I also wouldn’t be shocked if scalpers jack this collection up just like they did last time.
The collection will go live on May 15 on CONFIRMED, adidas’ official webstore, Korn’s webstore, and only through select retailers.
