Unto Others Stream New Track “Butterfly”
Goth rockers Unto Others are no strangers to metamorphosis, having changed their name from Idle Hands a couple years ago, so it’s almost apropos that they’d release a new song titled “Butterfly.” To my ears, this new track sounds almost like Type O Negative by way of the 80s thanks to the production and mixing by Tom Dalgety.
According to the band, the new track is about “the choices we make everyday, do we create or destroy, do we lift up or put down. Do we do this to ourselves, or others. The listener can decide.”
You can check out the song, along with the colorful and ethereal accompanying music video directed by Zev Deans, down below.
As for the band’s live plans, they have two shows scheduled next month in Portland and Salt Lake City commemorating the fifth anniversary of the band’s 2019 album Mana. Later on this summer, the band will also head out on tour across Europe. You can find all of the dates and locations below.
