Disturbed Might Do a 25th Anniversary Tour for The Sickness

If you’re down with the sickness, you may want to read on, because it’s possible that Disturbed will do a 25th anniversary tour for The Sickness.

The band’s guitarist, Dan Donegan, told Australian Everblack podcast that he never gets tired of plaing the songs on that record.

“Just saying that, it’s crazy. I remember when we were writing it, so to think that it’s going on the 25th anniversary … We probably wrote it, though, in ’96 when we first got together. Yeah, it’s crazy that it’s got the staying power like that, all those songs,” he says.

“And every time we play it, I know a lot of people think, ‘Oh, you ever get tired of playing it?’ It’s been so long.’ And I really don’t. Because when you hear the crowd reaction, the second it opens up with that drum beat, it’s just that adrenaline, and that blood flow gets going. It’s still exciting to play it.”

He also talked about the possibility of a future album alongside an anniversary tour:

“[No plans for a new album] yet. We’re loosely talking about it. Right now, this whole past year up to now, it’s all been touring mode. That’s all we’ve been focused on, is the tour. But you know, we’re thinking about what we’re going to do.

“We got big things to think about, on if we’re going to do a 25th anniversary tour next year, and if we do a new album, are we going to record it this year or the following year? So we got a lot on our plate. We got a lot to just sort out and prioritize what we want to do first.”
