Rivers of Nihil Are Apparently Back in the Studio

Pennsylvania-based death metal act Rivers of Nihil are apparently back in the studio working on their fifth LP. The band posted on that website that everyone still calls Twitter on Thursday a video of them in the studio with the caption “Album 5 drums start now.” This was followed up on Saturday with an image of drummer Jared Klein at the drums, bathed in red light, with the caption “Drums for LP 5 are complete.” This would mark the follow-up to their 2021 record The Work which was released on Metal Blade Records.

The band are probably on a tight deadline as they do have the Chaos & Carnage tour coming up very soon. It kicks off on April 30 and features Cattle Decapitation and Carnifex as well as Humanity’s Last Breath, The Zenith Passage, Vitriol, and Face Yourself. Check out the full list of dates below.
