Split Chain Drop New Single, Announce Plans to Tour Europe with Gel
Split Chain, the nu-shoegaze meets hardcore band out of the U.K., recently released a new single, as well as tour plans alongside Gel.
Check out the video for the song “Descend” below. It was recorded at The Ranch Production House and produced, engineered, and mixed by Lep Pinchin and mastered by Grant Berry at Fader Mastering.
Regarding the single, vocalist Bert Martinez said it deals with the experience of growing up in a fucked up environment.
“‘Descend’ is a full-circle story told from the point of view of someone growing up in a toxic household. It tells of how it feels to be pushed down and made to feel like the problem, on enduring personal suffering for others to strive. When you’re living through that, there can be a feeling of never-ending. But though the memories and impact can stay with you, there is always a way out.”
