Steel Panther-ify Yourself with ‘1987Me’

Have you ever wondered what you’d look like if you worked out all the time and played glam metal for a living? If you have, then don’t let your dreams be dreams and just DO IT. But if you’re way past the time it’d be acceptable for you to tell your significant other and your kids that you’re going out to get cigarettes only to go off and pursue your dreams without them, then this fun little web app from Steel Panther could be the next best thing.

With the band celebrating the 15th anniversary of their debut album Feel the Steel this year and today being the day for irreverent bullshit that it is, Steel Panther released ‘1987Me’, a web app that takes nearly any image of yourself and slaps your mug right on a member of the band.

All you’ve got to do is head over to ‘1987Me’ and upload a picture of yourself. After a few seconds, AI does its thing and there ya go — instant glam/hair metal-ification. It’s actually pretty well done most of the time, which begs the question — can it make Vince Neil look like he actually gives a shit these days?

The answer is surprisingly… yes. To show you how good it can be, we’ve run some of our favorite targ… I mean subjects… through the program. Check out what we were able to cook up and then have at it.
