Baseball season’s finally fucking here and while my Mets are going to be… okay… I’m excited to have the game back. So for those of you that follow it, may your team exceed your expectations. For those of you that don’t follow the game, I dunno. Are you happy we’re getting closer to warmer months?
A Perfect Circle / Primus / Puscifer

Yes, this is just three songs. It’s barely a release in the purest sense of the word, if we’re being honest. But the three new songs is really one new song for Puscifer, A Perfect Circle, and Primus — all written by Maynard James Keenan. If any of those bands, or Keenan himself, are something you enjoy, this should be on your radar.
Boundaries
Death is Little More (3DOT Recordings)
Hardcore band Boundaries return with their latest offering Death Is Little More, which features a dozen new tracks that vocalist and lyricist Matt McDougal says is “is the culmination of our efforts at their deepest and darkest.” Drawing inspiration from 14th century Italian poet Dante Alighieri and mastermind behind Inferno, this is sure to be a fun little romp.
CNTS
Thoughts & Prayers (Ipecac Recordings)
Featuring members of Dead Cross, Retox and Qui, CNTS is a noisy, punky kick in the teeth. If you’re looking for some pissed off music to blast you into the weekend, this would be one hell of a selection.
Rage
Afterlifelines (Steamhammer/SPV)
German metal outfit Rage have not one, but two new albums out today. Released as a single offering, Afterlifelines features 21 new songs, but each album features two different musical approaches. The first album Afterlife sees the band recorded as just a trio, while Lifelines includes the band with classical orchestral arrangements. Ultimately, it’s fast, heavy power metal that’s been forged since the mid-80s, so old heads should appreciate the shit out of this.
While She Sleeps
Self Hell (Spinefarm)
While the last selection was for the old heads, this one definitely isn’t. British metalcore act While She Sleeps slinks out of Sheffield with their sixth studio effort. According to guitarist Sean Long, the band’s “been drawing inspiration from an array of misfit artists” that don’t usually get tapped by bands in the metalcore scene, leading to one of the more interesting releases from a band of their kind.
