Cerebral Rot is No More, Members Create Corpus Offal with Bell Witch Drummer Jesse Shreibman

In a real world case of “when one door closes, another opens,” it was announced earlier today that Seattle death metal band Cerebral Rot had called it quits. And while that definitely sucks, the silver lining is that most of the band has gotten together to create an entirely new band: Corpus Offal.

Made up of Cerebral Rot‘s lead guitarist and vocalist Ian Schwab, guitarist Clyle Lindstrom, bassist Jesse Shreibman (Bell Witch, Autophagy) on drums and Jason Sachs (ex-Demoncy) on bass, Corpus Offal sounds a lot like its predecessor, which isn’t a bad thing at all.

As you’ll hear in the two-song demo from Corpus Offal posted below, it’s just straight up brutal death metal from start to finish. According to the band, their debut album will be released in 2025, so they’re definitely something to keep your eye on.
